| February 1, 2010 - The Blairstown Police Department will be holding the next Community Resource Program Meeting on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 7:30 PM in the meeting room at the municipal building. The focus of this months meeting will be on Traffic Safety and Motor Vehicle Law. This will be especially beneficial to new drivers and their families. During the meeting, attendees will be given an opportunity to have any questions they may have answers by any of the officers that are present. As always, the meeting is open to all members of the public, business owners, and North Warren area School District families. July 30, 2009 - On Wednesday, July 15, 2009 the Blairstown Police Department was granted membership into the Middle Atlantic-Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network (MAGLOCLEN) after an extensive application process and background investigation was completed. BTPD was approved for membership by the Policy Board of MAGLOCLEN. MAGLOCLEN's primary purpose is to serve as a central database for organized criminals with interstate activities. MAGLOCLEN is a federally funded regional information sharing service. MAGLOCLEN will assist our department with a wide variety of resources including Intelligence Analysis, Confidential Funds, Equipment Loans, Information Sharing, Technical Assistance and Training. | |
